Types of public property
Public property in Iraq can be classified into two main types:
Public property by nature: This includes public roads, rivers, lakes, dams, coastal areas, and vast desert lands. This means that these lands are designated, by their very nature, for public use without direct administrative intervention.
Public property by allocation: This is property designated by law or the administrative authority to serve a public utility, such as government buildings, schools, hospitals, police stations, and others.
